My name is Andrzej Buła

I was born in Kluczbork in 1965 and remain connected to this city to this day, as does my wife and our two children — son Michał and daughter Julia.
In 1989, I graduated from the Academy of Physical Education with a Master’s degree in physical education. I also completed postgraduate studies — in Poznań in the field of sports organisation and management, and in Opole in the field of educational organisation and management. I hold the professional title of sports manager and coaching qualifications (Class II) in football.
For 13 years I worked as a teacher at the Secondary School Complex in Kluczbork. In 2003, I won the competition for the position of director of the Sports and Recreation Centre in Kluczbork. Over the years, I strived to transform this facility into a modern and important place for the regional community.
My passion is sport, and above all football. Since 2003, when the MKS Kluczbork sports club was founded, I worked there, and for four years I headed its football board.
Following the 2006 local elections, I became a councillor of the Opole Voivodeship. In the Regional Assembly, I served as Chair of the Committee on Regional Policy, Economy and Tourism.
In 2007, I successfully ran in the parliamentary elections, winning a seat in the Sejm (Polish Parliament) representing Civic Platform.
In the 6th and then 7th parliamentary terms, I worked on committees including education, science and youth; physical culture, sport and tourism; and the legislative committee. I served as an MP until I was elected Marshal of the Opole Voivodeship in November 2013.
In the 2014-2018 term, I was re-elected as a regional councillor, and the councillors once again chose me as Marshal of the Voivodeship.
In the June 2024 European elections, running on the Civic Coalition list, I was elected to the European Parliament (10th term) from constituency no. 12, receiving 65,967 votes. In the European Parliament, I sit on the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs, the Committee on Regional Development, and the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection.
I always act according to the motto “with people in mind”. What I have managed to achieve, I also owe to the people I have met along my life’s journey.
