The EU’s cohesion policy is a regional policy and must remain so—co-created and implemented by the people who best understand the needs of residents—that is, local and regional authorities.
This is my firm position and that of the entire EPP Group, of which I am a member in the European Parliament.
We will fight for a fair and equitable allocation of EU funds so that our regions can continue to develop.
