EPP Group Youth Week is behind us! Young citizens of the European Union who visited the European Parliament developed 20 inspiring projects addressing the issues most important to them. Each project offered a specific solution to a given problem and included a short informational video. Topics covered included defense, the labor market, housing affordability, and food security.
In addition, the week was filled with panel discussions featuring, among others, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, EPP Group Chair in the European Parliament Manfred Weber, David McAllister, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Sophia Kircher, Chair of EPP Youth – all of whom spoke on topics that will shape the future of the younger generation.
I am glad that young people from our region who came to Brussels upon my invitation can also be part of this event, exchange ideas with their peers from all over Europe, and help shape the future of the European Union.
Heartfelt congratulations to the group that addressed the topic of “Hate and Social Media.” Event participants selected their proposal as the most interesting and most important for young people.
